Alleima inaugurates tube production facility - expanding for future growth in China

Alleima continues to strengthen its position in the Chinese market by inaugurating its production mill in Zhenjiang – an investment of SEK 255 million (RMB 193 million). This investment coincides with 40 years of Alleima presence in China and marks an important milestone in supporting the growing demand for high-quality tubular products for industries like chemical and petrochemical, hydrogen, pulp and paper, and medical. With this investment, Alleima will double its production capacity, broaden its product range, employ additional employees and enable shorter lead times for customers across China and Asia.

Focus on strategic priorities at Alleima Capital Markets Day in Stockholm, Sweden

At its Capital Markets Day in Stockholm, Sweden, Alleima provided an update on its strategic priorities and progress towards continued profitable growth. Göran Björkman, CEO at Alleima, highlighted updates on the addressable market and capital allocation strategy. The company’s strategy for long-term value creation focuses on an overall mix shift towards more profitable products, and a capital allocation focused mainly on five prioritized segments: Chemical and Petrochemical, Industrial Heating, Medical, Nuclear, and Hydrogen and Renewable Energy.

Innovation and increased customer value as Alleima reduces its CO2 emissions

Alleima’s sustainability targets have been reviewed and validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and are now aligned with the latest climate research. These targets mean that Alleima is reducing its Scope 1 and 2 CO 2 emissions by more than 54% and Scope 3 emissions by 28% by 2030, using 2019 as the base year. Alleima has already reduced its Scope 1 and 2 CO 2 emissions by 41%, well ahead of schedule. To continue this progress, Alleima will focus on various technical solutions for electrification and energy efficiency as well as hydrogen and biogas.
