Alleima, is thrilled to announce its latest compressor valve steel Freeflex® Versa, a successor of the award-winning Freeflex® Core. The new material contributes to designing smaller, more sustainable and more energy efficient compressors for refrigerators, and freezers. It is pioneering compressor valve steel with exceptional fatigue resistance, residual stresses, and wear resistance.

Alleima, a world leader of stainless steel and special alloys, has decided to calculate and present the carbon emissions data of their final products. Now Alleima is sharing product-specific and reviewed carbon footprint data on its manufactured solid bar products, used for segments like Industrial, Oil and Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical and Transportation.

Alleima’s division Kanthal has signed a strategic partnership with Danieli, a major global supplier of turnkey plants and equipment for the iron- and steel industry, to jointly develop and scale up Kanthal’s demonstrated electric process gas direct-heating solution, Prothal® DH, to full industrial scale. The introduction of Prothal® DH technology in blast furnace operation will reduce CO2 emissions in ironmaking.
