What

On-site manufacturing solution for high-pressure tubes used in hydrogen refueling stations.

How

Our tubular products are supporting the global shift from fossil fuels to renewables. The materials used for sustainable energy production, from concentrated solar power to carbon capture and storage, geothermal energy, and bioenergy, typically need to be lighter, stronger, and able to withstand higher temperatures and more corrosive environments.

For example, Alleima provides a micro-factory on-site manufacturing solution for the high-pressure tubes that form a critical part of a hydrogen refueling station. Our solution consists of a mobile, connected container that can be tailored to suit individual customer needs and be flexibly located where required, reducing waste, and enhancing safety, while also delivering time and cost savings.

Why

As the world seeks to transition away from fossil fuels, hydrogen-based technologies are emerging as among the most promising alternatives for a greener future.

So, what’s the catch? In the case of hydrogen, the main obstacles are a lack of supply and infrastructure. But this is all about to change – and it’s happening faster than you think.

In 2022, 130 hydrogen refueling stations went into operation worldwide, including 45 new hydrogen stations in Europe. At the end of 2022, a total of 814 hydrogen refueling stations were in operation around the globe, with concrete plans already in place for 315 additional stations worldwide.
