MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute the Indirect Procurement strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives, operational requirements, cost optimization initiatives, and future expansion projects.
- Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement of indirect materials, MRO consumables, engineering spares, capital equipment, facility management services, logistics services, utilities, IT requirements, civil works, and all service contracts.
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve procurement policies, procedures, governance frameworks, and standard operating procedures to ensure transparency, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Develop category sourcing strategies through detailed spend analysis, demand forecasting, market intelligence, supplier benchmarking, total cost of ownership (TCO), and risk assessment.
- Lead strategic sourcing activities including supplier identification, tendering (RFQ/RFP/RFx), commercial negotiations, contract finalization, and long-term supplier development.
- Negotiate commercial agreements to achieve optimum value through cost reduction, cost avoidance, payment terms optimization, and improved service levels without compromising quality, delivery, or business continuity.
- Build, develop, and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and service providers through structured supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure timely procurement and uninterrupted availability of indirect materials and services to support manufacturing operations, maintenance activities, engineering projects, shutdowns, and capital investment programs.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Projects, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, EHS, IT, P & C, Compliance, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver effective procurement solutions.
- Drive supplier performance management through defined KPIs covering quality, delivery, cost competitiveness, innovation, sustainability, responsiveness, and compliance.
- Lead supplier risk management activities by identifying procurement risks, developing mitigation plans, ensuring supply continuity, and strengthening supplier resilience.
- Ensure effective contract lifecycle management, including drafting, review, execution, compliance monitoring, renewals, amendments, and closure of procurement contracts.
- Monitor procurement budgets, optimize indirect procurement spend, and identify opportunities for value engineering, standardization, consolidation, and process improvement.
- Ensure timely processing of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt coordination, invoice verification, and supplier payment resolution in collaboration with Finance.
- Drive procurement digitalization, automation, data analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, transparency, and decision-making.
- Ensure supplier compliance with the Supplier Code of Conduct (CoC), ethical sourcing standards, ESG requirements, statutory regulations, and company policies by coordinating supplier audits with the Compliance and EHS teams.
- Support internal, customer, statutory, and certification audits while ensuring procurement records, documentation, and processes comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other applicable management systems.
- Develop, coach, and lead the Indirect Procurement team by fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Regularly benchmark procurement best practices, emerging technologies, and market trends to strengthen procurement capability and support the organization's long-term business strategy.
EHS Responsibility
- Ensure effective HR governance through robust MIS, analytics, reporting systems, and management reviews.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including management, unions, consultants, and government authorities.
- Support strategic business decisions through data-driven HR insights and organizational benchmarking.
