Quality Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team in Kennewick, WA, with approximately 150 employees, where we produce high‑precision titanium tube products for demanding markets such as Aerospace.

Your Role

As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to identify issues, implement improvements, and maintain compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement quality control processes and internal operational standards, support new product development with quality planning (e.g., FMEA, control plans), and review and approve technical documentation, specifications, and procedures.
  • Monitor production and engineering processes to ensure product quality, conduct inspections and testing to verify compliance with requirements, ensure adherence to internal quality standards and external regulations.
  • Perform root cause analysis on defects and nonconformities.
  • Implement and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Investigating customer complaints and quality issues.
  • Conduct internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with standards (e.g., ISO 9001/AS9100, and other industry-specific regulations) and maintain documentation required for audits and certifications.
  • Analyze quality data and performance metrics.
  • Generate reports on defects, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Use statistical tools and KPIs to monitor and improve processes.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement process improvements.
  • Work with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and operations teams.
  • Communicate quality issues and drive resolution across departments.
  • Support training and awareness on quality standards and best practices.

About you

Backed by a bachelor’s degree (or nearing completion within one year) in engineering, Quality, Materials Science, or a related technical field, you bring at least two years of experience in quality engineering or quality assurance, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting. You have hands-on experience working with quality management systems, supplier quality processes, and raw material evaluation.

You are knowledgeable in industry standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100, and additional experience in a materials testing laboratory is a plus. Overall, you combine technical expertise with a proactive, detail-oriented approach, making you a strong contributor to quality-driven manufacturing operations.

What you can expect from us

  • The salary range for this position is $62,000 – $92,000 annually with a 10% annual bonus and annual merit eligibility.
