Advances in medical techniques are accelerating the potential to improve mobility faster than ever before. However, achieving these goals also requires the highest quality products and instruments made from materials that are both strong and lightweight.

At Alleima, we know that precision and performance consistency are essential in orthopaedic industry. So is regulatory compliance. That’s why, as a medically certified alloy supplier, we’re committed to delivering world-leading trusted materials that push possibilities for the medical industry and restore patients’ motion.

Our range of advanced stainless steels and special alloys in tubes is recognized for superior strength and biocompatibility for orthopaedic implants, surgical instruments, and medical devices. Our attention to detail at every stage of our manufacturing process – from melt to finished tube – aligns with what medical companies should expect from an industry-leading material partner.

We recently showcased our current material capabilities and our dedication to accelerating medical technology at OMTEC, the Orthopaedic Manufacturing & Technology Exposition and Conference, in Chicago. OMTEC is the premier gathering of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers to discuss orthopaedic product development and supply chain challenges. It’s also the main platform for showcasing the latest cutting-edge innovations in orthopaedic manufacturing technologies.

Alleima at OMTEC

This was our second year at OMTEC. As a trusted material supplier for critical medical applications, our presence at this event aligns strongly with our North American medical market goals, which include strengthening partnerships and expanding our portfolio footprint in the orthopaedic segment.

OMTEC was a valuable platform to connect with OEMs and contract managers. Visitors to our booth were interested in our capabilities, sizes, grades, and product formats (tubes and round bars). We discussed how our medically certified materials – including Alleima® 316LVM, Alleima® High-N, Alleima® 3R65, Alleima® 3R12 – deliver consistent performance and precision so they can always be at their best.

OMTEC also confirmed the value in our ability to provide not just the most reliable materials, but also the knowledge, consistent quality, and commitment to partnerships in moving the medical industry forward.

Our +160-year Scandinavian heritage, enhanced with over 50 years of market experience in the USA and our recent investments in our portfolio for the medical sector, ensure we will continue to deliver the absolute best in materials technology. However, industry developments, such as the growing demand for special stainless-steel and titanium grades, mean we are always looking to advance our product portfolio.

We’re exceptionally proud of where we’ve come from. And even more excited about where we can take the orthopaedic industry next with our portfolio expansion in the upcoming year.
