We’re very proud of producing some of the highest quality hydraulic and instrumentation (H&I) tubing, and our H&I manufacturing facilities in Chomutov, Czech Republic, have been critical to our success over many years.
We work hand in hand with our customers to move their industries ever forward. That’s why we were delighted to invite some of them to see our largest cold-working unit for themselves at two highly-anticipated H&I events recently held at Chomutov. We also discussed their challenges and included time for them to network and explore the beauty of nearby Prague.

The open days were an excellent opportunity for some of the leaders in the market to see our tubes in production and to learn more about our advanced materials from our experts at the mill.
We received lots of positive feedback from customers about the tours, the high quality of our products, our clean and well-organized process controls, and our commitment to sustainable steel-making.
We had good discussions about the best materials to use for specific applications and how we view opportunities for the industry in the future. Some customers mentioned the reliability and stability of our tubing, particularly their bend consistency, providing the perfect hardness. Others talked about their close relationships with the mill, our clear and quick documentation and approvals processes, and the visible satisfaction of our people in their work.
And they were keen to learn more about our total process control, from steel melting to drawing and packing, opening up the possibility of a future Alleima open day.
