1250°C heat protection for mineral insulated cables
When temperatures rise in production, achieving accurate measurements becomes even more crucial to safety and productivity. Corrosion can lead to oxidation, thermal drift and shutdowns. Alleima® TD alloy is designed to shield against these issues, protecting mineral insulated cables up to 1250°C (2282°F).
Reliable performance – delivered
Alleima® TD is our nickel-chromium alloy tube specifically engineered for mineral insulated cable (MIC) and thermocouples. With 22% chromium and 3% molybdenum, it offers reliable corrosion resistance at high temperatures and reduces the risk of oxidation, creep and cracking. Suitable for environments up to 1250°C, it offers the highest temperature resistance in our portfolio.
Resisting reactive gases
Since MIC is crucial for electrical measurements in high-temperature production and hazardous environments, it requires exceptional durability and a robust metal sheath to resist reactive gases. This is where Alleima® TD excels, delivering reliable performance for industries such as:
Typical applications
- Automotive
- Aerospace engines
- Aluminum production
- Gas turbines
- Powder metal production
- Furnaces in refineries
- Fired heaters in
Key challenges overcome
- Seamless sheath eliminates weak points or cracks
- High oxidation resistance due to high chromium content
