The Brazilian oil and gas industry remains strong with no signs of slowing down soon.

Despite challenges in the supply chain and geopolitical instabilities, there’s confidence that the Brazilian market will remain active, with Petrobras, international oil companies (IOCs), and independent oil companies pushing ahead with new projects.

The trend of developing fields in ultra-deep waters with long tiebacks continues. This creates technological challenges for the industry. However, at Alleima, we see such challenges as an opportunity to demonstrate how our advanced materials can relentlessly push the possibilities for our customers’ projects.

There’s also an increasing focus on carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) and country’s potential future prospects.

The challenges and opportunities for the oil and gas industry were among the key issues discussed at the recent Rio Oil & Gas exhibition and conference (now called ROGe) held in Rio de Janeiro.

Alleima at Rio Oil & Gas 2024

ROGe is the largest conference of its kind in Latin America. It’s historically been a great event in Brazil, where the entire oil and gas value chain gets together to discuss projects, challenges, and future opportunities. It’s also a great place to establish relationships with industry stakeholders.

For Alleima, ROGe is a platform for us to engage with everyone from end-users to different levels of the supply chain. It creates an environment for networking like no other event in the region. We met all our customers and several end-users for commercial and technical discussions and to share views on current and future market trends. ROGe is also an important forum for showcasing our new products and materials to a wide audience.

At our booth, we exhibited several of our key oil and gas products, like umbilical tubes (including our new SAF™ 3007 super-duplex stainless steel), OCTG (including a display of our SAF™ 2507 tubing with Tenaris Blue premium connection), control lines, and hydraulic and instrumentation tubes for both subsea and topside environments.
