Kanthal Division in Shanghai is seeking for a Technical Sales Engineering Manager in Heating System.
Your Role
Overview
Kanthal is part of Sweden's Alleima, serving as a globally advanced provider of products and services in the field of industrial heating technology and high-quality resistance materials. Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting Standard and Complex opportunities with technical knowledge
- Provide expertise as required from the sales organization by responding to more complex technical questions.
- Analyzing customer’s technical needs and suggesting solutions
- Explore, identify, and suggest new products as well as developing existing ones
- Responsible for preparing technical proposals including proposal/offer, review and presentation to customer and calculations according to customers’ requirements
- Prepare product drawings for customers, and production
- Provide cost estimation for customized products offering
- Review bidding technical requirement and proposals.
- Act as a liaison to coordinate communication between SU and Product & Technology Team or other relevant functions within the company
- Join customer visits or online meetings as needed
- Liaise with sales team to prepare, conduct and/or assist in product promotion, presentation, and demonstration from technical perspective.
- Provide technical training and guidance to sales.
- Work with cross-functional teams providing technical advice
- Provide technical support to production, sourcing, product development.
- Understand both the business problems and the technical solutions. Provide assistance to other team members.
- Post-sales activities include resolving implementation problems and conducting training, claim handling.
- Analyse customers’ technical needs, develop proposals outlining how the products can meet the needs and be integrated.
- To ensure high level of customer satisfaction at all times.
- To seek understand and due diligence of anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) policy/guidelines within defines region.
- Other duties as assigned
Authorizations necessary for the above-mentioned assignments as granted –
ISO standard QEHS - All Employees have the responsibility to follow our procedures and to work in a safe and healthy manner. About You
Qualifications
- 5-10 years’ experience in engineering, technical support, technical product development. Work experience from heat Insulation/Ceramics products is preferred.
- Premium college/University degree qualified, preferably in in-organic materials, special ceramics education.
- Strong technical knowledge and skills in materials and heating element or related work experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken is needed.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and customer-oriented.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to travel frequently and adapt to different cultures and environments.
