In partnership with the Centre for Environment Education (CEE), this initiative addressed a growing problem in Rajpur: rising waste generation with no reliable way to move it. Without proper transport infrastructure, the Gram Panchayat was struggling to keep collection systematic, and village cleanliness was slipping as a result. Formalised through an MOU signed in October 2025, the project was built around a simple but practical fix - giving the Panchayat the equipment it needed to run waste collection on its own terms, sustainably, going forward.

The objective was straightforward: strengthen the village's waste collection and transfer system by providing the right infrastructure, and help the Gram Panchayat establish a regular, self-sufficient process it could maintain long after handover.

Turning that into action started with listening. In July 2025, the Talati and Sarpanch formally requested two tractor trolleys, flagging the same pressures; more waste, no transport, and a cleanliness problem that was only getting harder to manage. The project team followed up with repeat visits to Rajpur, meeting the Sarpanch, Talati, and village representatives to work through the existing challenges and settle on the right technical specifications. From there, vendors were identified and evaluated, a work order was issued for two tractor trolleys, and the team stayed closely engaged with the vendor through fabrication to keep production on schedule and quality on track. By February 2026, both trolleys were complete - though the Panchayat held off putting them to use until a proper handover could mark the occasion.

That handover took place on 18 February 2026, with more than 25 villagers turning out to see it through. Panchayat members spoke about the village's waste challenges and what the initiative meant for solving them, before formally thanking Alleima India Private Limited and CEE for their support. The two trolleys were handed over along with a certificate for the Gram Panchayat, and a follow-up meeting afterward turned to what comes next - other infrastructure gaps, and how the collaboration might continue.
