On May 18, 2026, the Yangjiang Shibazi Partner Strategic Summit, themed “Material Leads the Future, Partnership for Shared Success,” concluded successfully. Core distributors from across China attended the event, where discussions focused on the role of raw material quality in knife and scissors products. Alleima, a global steel supplier and long-term partner of Shibazi, was invited to attend.
Craftsmanship and Quality Focus
Yangjiang Shibazi traces its origins to the 1950s. Based in Yangjiang, Guangdong, and recognized as a time-honored brand in China, the company has gone through five rounds of technological upgrades. It has evolved from traditional handmade carbon steel knives into a large-scale, mechanized manufacturer with thousands of product specifications serving both domestic and international markets. Over the years, Shibazi has maintained a focus on craftsmanship and continuous innovation. Its quality management system covers the entire industry chain and all stages of production, with strict requirements for raw material quality.
In the hardware knife and scissors industry, the steel used directly affects the sharpness, durability, and user experience of the final product. A well-performing knife relies on a balance of hardness, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Alleima works to provide knife manufacturers with market-validated steel grades through scientific composition design and process control. Based on this approach, Shibazi has established a long-term collaboration with Alleima, using stable and reliable steel to support product performance from design to finished knife.

Alleima Presentation: Materials Science and Future Collaboration
At the summit, Denny Li, Technical Marketing Manager at Alleima Strip China, gave a presentation that helped distributors better understand the performance characteristics of knife steel. He introduced Alleima and its strip steel products, then focused on Alleima® 12C27 knife steel grade. As a mature grade developed for knife applications, Alleima® 12C27 has been refined over many years to achieve a balance of hardness, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Its good edge retention and corrosion resistance help produce knives that stay sharp, resist chipping, and are easy to maintain. Denny also reviewed the technical collaboration between Alleima and Shibazi over the years and outlined future directions: from material selection to co-development of products, continuing to provide steel solutions that support Shibazi in launching knives with solid performance and reliable quality.

“Plum Blossoms Herald Happiness”: A Result of Joint Development
The new “Plum Blossoms Herald Happiness” series launched by Shibazi at the summit is a recent result of the collaboration between the two companies. The series uses Alleima® 12C27, which offers good hardness, toughness, and corrosion resistance, helping the knives maintain sharpness while meeting everyday durability needs. Combining traditional craftsmanship with modern design, the products drew broad attention and positive feedback from national distributors at the event.

Moving Forward Together
“Material Leads the Future, Partnership for Shared Success” served as both the theme of the summit and a shared principle for both companies. Looking ahead, Alleima will continue to focus on quality, deepen its strategic cooperation with Yangjiang Shibazi, and apply materials science to support further improvements in knife performance. Together, the two companies aim to produce well-crafted knives for Chinese kitchens.
