We’ve just returned from Auto Shanghai 2025 – one of the world’s largest and most influential automotive exhibitions – full of inspiration, new connections, and deeper insights into the future of mobility. From April 25 to May 2, Alleima had the opportunity to showcase our advanced steel solutions for the automotive industry, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and performance.
Our Presence
At booth 1.2H, 1BC031, we presented our high-performance materials used in critical vehicle components – from steering and suspension systems to air conditioning and sunroof mechanisms. Interest was high, and we had the chance to demonstrate how our precision stainless steel and specialty alloy strip products contribute to lighter, stronger, and more energy-efficient and comfortable and reliable vehicles.
What we took away
Auto Shanghai was not just an exhibition – it was a glimpse into the future of the automotive industry. Here are some of our key takeaways:
Electrification is the new standard
Many exhibitors focused on electric vehicles, confirming that the shift to electrification is now a central part of automotive development. This brings new demands for materials that combine heat resistance, durability, and high strength– areas where Alleima has a strong offering.
Precision and reliability in demand
We saw increasing interest in materials that can perform in extreme environments and be used in applications ranging from automotive suspension to thermal management system. Our expertise in ultra-thin precision strip proved particularly relevant for these needs.
Sustainability is business-critical
Conversations at the event clearly showed that sustainability is playing an ever-greater role in supplier selection. With our circular production process and strong focus on recycling, we are well positioned to meet those expectations.
