Using machinery specifically designed for precision cutting, Exera® medical wire, ribbon, multi-filar and stranded cables can be precisely cut to the customer’s requested length. Depending on the medical application, wire can be coated with polymer insulation and PTFE coatings, in addition to electroplating capabilities.
Aqcuiring Endosmart®
Alleima also recently acquired the German-based company Endosmart to its business unit medical. Endosmart is an expert in processing nitinol for various applications, such as retrieval baskets for kidney stones, markers for cancer detection or various instruments. What sets Endosmart apart from the competition is its extensive experience working with nitinol and its processing capabilities.
