Alleima has won an award in the Strategy category at this year’s Magnet Awards, one of the leading employer branding competitions in the Nordics. The award recognizes how Alleima, through an inspiring partnership, has created a consistent, wholehearted, and credible story in a smart and creative way that reaches new channels.
The specialty steel company Alleima plays a key role as the Vasa Museum faces its greatest challenge since the salvaging of the ship. As the wood has weakened over time, the ship requires a new support structure. Years of research and advanced testing at the museum have, among other things, led to a unique collaboration with Alleima to develop an internal customized steel skeleton that will support and stabilize the ship.
The collaboration means that Alleima has become a main partner to the Vasa Museum and the “Support Vasa” project, where Alleima contributes with advanced stainless steel and technical expertise to a new internal support structure designed to help preserve the ship Vasa for future generations. On May 27, Alleima was recognized by the Magnet Awards for the employer branding impact created through the unique collaboration with the Vasa Museum.
The jury statement read:
“Innovative brand building where Swedish heritage is combined with cutting-edge expertise in a long-term strategy that unites business, culture, and societal interest. Through an inspiring partnership, a smart and creative approach has been used to create a consistent, wholehearted, and credible story that reaches new channels.”
“We are very proud of this recognition. The partnership with the Vasa Museum demonstrates in a concrete way how our technical expertise and materials can contribute to something greater. It makes our work more visible and strengthens both the external understanding of Alleima and the internal pride among our employees,” says Elja Nordlöf, EVP and Head of Communications at Alleima.
This was the ninth consecutive year that the Magnet Awards, one of the largest employer branding competitions in the Nordics, recognized companies for their employer branding initiatives. Alleima was nominated in two categories: “Strategy – employer branding with clear anchoring” and “Creative Innovative class – employer branding that breaks new ground.” The purpose of the Magnet Awards is to influence the exchange of ideas within the industry, challenge the status quo, and demonstrate the power of both internal and external employer communication.
