The AOG Energy 2023 exhibition in Perth provided a platform for companies in the oil, gas and clean industry to showcase their latest products, technologies, and services, as well as facilitate discussions on the latest trends and innovations in the sector.

AOG Energy 2023 also marked a return to large-scale energy events after the pandemic, enabling companies to reconnect with customers and explore new opportunities.
Alleima was one of the exhibitors at the show, and we were excited to once again showcase our readiness to meet the needs of main operators in Australia and the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Having a booth at the event enabled us to engage with customers directly and showcase our capabilities in providing quality products and services to address challenges and requirements.
The ever-evolving energy landscape
With growing concerns about climate change, the oil and gas industry is shifting towards decarbonization and adopting sustainable practices. In Australia, the government has set a target of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, which requires a significant shift in the energy mix. As such, there is an increasing demand for renewable energy sources, such as wind, solar, and hydroelectric power. There is also a pressing need for industry players to invest in carbon capture and storage technologies and work together to drive the evolution of the industry towards one with a more sustainable future.
Overall, the outlook for the industry is positive, and we are moving towards the right direction. However, there is more work to be done.
Staying ahead with sustainability
At Alleima, our aim is to support our customer’s journey towards becoming more sustainable and contribute positively to their action plans and requirements.
As part of our unwavering commitment to sustainability, we have pledged to reduce Scope 1 and 2 CO2 emissions by more than 50% and have 83% recycled steel in finished products by 2030. To achieve our goals, we are continuously developing and improving materials for applications in different environments in the Asia Pacific and around the world.
At AOG Energy 2023, we showcased our expertise and knowledge in high alloys through our products including Control Lines, Umbilical Tubes and Downhole Casing and Production Tubing (OCTG). These products consist of high-quality materials to help customers extend the lifespan of wells, reduce maintenance costs, and minimize environmental impact.
Our Control Lines is made of austenitic stainless steel, nickel alloys or super-duplex stainless steel, designed to withstand high temperatures and pressures as well as to resist corrosion and erosion in challenging well conditions. OCTG is made of corrosion-resistant alloys, such as duplex, super-duplex stainless steels, austenitic Fe- and Ni-base alloys. These materials are ideal for coping with aggressive environments in wells sour from hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, and other chemicals.
At the same time, the Alleima Control Line Calculator is a tool particularly useful when customers are unsure about the most suitable alloy and dimension to use for a specific project. With the Calculator, customers can benefit from choosing the right materials, ensuring they won't have future problems. Learn more about it here.

With our regional headquarters in Malaysia, we have the local expertise and experience to serve customers in the APAC region, including Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, our commitment to sustainability drives us to create environmentally friendly products and processes that reduce the impact of the oil and gas industry on the environment.
As we expand our offerings in Australia's energy industry, providing innovative and sustainable solutions will continue to be our key focus. We look forward to more to come.
