We are proud to announce that Alleima, as a standalone company, has been accepted as a member of the United Nations Global Compact.
As a participant in UN Global Compact, Alleima will make UN Global Compact and its principles part of the strategy, culture and day-to-day operations of the company.
“We commit to supporting the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact on human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption”, says Göran Björkman, CEO and President of Alleima.
Alleima will also engage in collaborative projects which advance the broader development goals of the United Nations, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact are derived from: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.
As a business area of Sandvik, Sandvik Materials Technology was an indirect participant since 2013.
