Manufacturing Flow Manager

In this role, you are responsible for the management of production operations within your area of responsibility in Kennewick, WA (around 50 employees), specialized in producing the high precision titanium tube products for very demanding markets like Aerospace and Medical.

For that, you manage the flow of work product through the manufacturing processes and manage union personnel on multiple shifts. You provide leadership through effective communication and personal behavior, including fostering the culture of a learning organization. You are responsible for administrative activities related to payroll, discipline, performance expectations and company policies and ensure union operators have effective training, communication of work expectations, and the creation of a safe and productive work environment.

Your Role

  • Create and implement tactical production plans & controls to meet strategic planning objectives.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for all employees, completing routine audits to assess safety, quality, and productivity in responsible areas
  • Guide and mentor Working Leads to effectively implement production plans and ensure a safe working environment is maintained, including an effective training process
  • Fostering and mentoring the continued efforts of a learning and changing organization, such as employment development and operational excellence.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for work centers within area of responsibility
  • Daily communication and reporting on KPI performance to the management team, and develop action plans for improvement when necessary
  • Implement company strategic programs and objectives as assigned (ie.. 5S, Safety, Continuous Improvement, Lean initiatives etc.)

About You

We are looking for someone with solid experience from the manufacturing industry combined with relevant and adequate knowledge in leading a production department. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred for this position, but a combination of secondary education and equivalent work experience will be considered

Your competences and knowledge in leading a manufacturing environment are key, from systems and technologies and obvious typical production processes (safety, quality, productivity, inventory….)

Excellent communication skills are also essentials for the success in this position. You must be confident and willing to work in a team-oriented environment with Engineers, Technicians, Operators and Managers, with good organization and project management skills.

Other required competences: Digital oriented with strong proficiency office and industrial IT; Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems experience

What you can expect from us

The salary range for this position is $73,000 to 108,300 annually with a 10% annual bonus and annual merit eligibility.

Additional elements of the compensation package include medical, dental, vision insurance as well as company paid disability and life insurance. We offer paid time off, 11 paid holidays a year and a 401 (k) retirement savings plan that has a 5% company contribution with company match of 50% for the first 6% you invest.
