The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing and nurturing the relationships with the company’s most important clients. The KAM serves as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, driving long-term value through strategic partnership development. The role requires strong relationship-building skills, technical know-how, an understanding of client needs, and the ability to drive sales and deliver solutions that meet the client's business goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with high volume clients to accomplish organic growth and long-term company objectives.
- Act as the main point of contact and ensure their satisfaction with our products and services.
- Handle contract negotiations, renewals, and agreements to ensure favorable terms for both the company and the client.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets and increase account profitability, while managing account budgets.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their long-terms objectives, demands, challenges, and pain points, and provide solutions that align with their goals.
- Identify new R&D opportunities and act as a coordinator between engineering teams in the development process.
- Work closely with internal teams (quality, operations, marketing, R&D, and customer service) to ensure timely delivery of products and services, addressing any issues that arise.
- Provide regular reports on account performance, revenue forecasts, and client feedback to management.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities and risks.
