Calibration Technician

If you are a Calibration professional who has 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, we want to speak with you!

Key performance areas

As a Calibration Technician you will be fabricating 3-D standards for the UT (ultrasonic) testers as well as performing internal calibrations on various Measuring and Testing Equipment (M&TE).

Additionally, you will:

  • Interpret quality assurance specifications and procedures
  • Read mechanical drawings
  • Work with tight tolerances
  • Participate, support, and maintain compliance to the company’s Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems, 5S program, policies, procedures, safety programs, and activities as defined within the company’s published management system documentation

Your profile

Besides possessing a Machinist or Electronics/Instrumentation degree or two-year Machinist or Instrumentation training or apprentice program equivalent, you have 3-5 years’ experience as a Machinist or Electronics/Instrumentation Technician in a manufacturing environment. You are proficient with M&TE (micrometers, calipers, Ring/Plug gauges) and have strong mathematical and organizational skills with an ability to focus on the details. You are familiar with DOS and Windows Operating Systems and basic computer hardware. NDT ET & UT experience a plus. Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in mechanical or technical environment and/or apprenticeship is also a plus.

Candidates should also possess:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Self-motivated with good time management and ability to stay on task
  • Operate manual lathe, manual mill, and ram EDM
  • A strong background in electronics technology
  • Ability to work mandatory occasional overtime
