Operations Support Specialist

In this role, you support production, planning and workforce development in ensuring operations strategic goals are met in Kennewick, WA (around 100 employees), specialized in producing the high precision titanium tube products for very demanding markets like Aerospace and Medical.

For that you will support the Production Manager and the Human Resources Manager in improving and digitalizing the hiring, training, and production planning processes with the goal of providing a better employee experience and more efficient process. This is a chance to take ownership and come together to deliver on business needs.

Your responsibilities:

  • Participate in and support recruiting process for manufacturing operators
  • New Hire Orientation and Onboarding
  • Review training records and ensure that all employees are up to date with their training
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating communications monitors
  • Support Production and Workflow Planning
  • Digitalization of our training records, checklist, and onboarding procedures.
  • Participate in flow managers white board meetings and communicate out relevant information.
  • The ability to think proactively and adapt to changing priorities is critical.
  • All employees are responsible for participating, supporting, and maintaining compliance to the company’s Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems, policies, procedures, programs, and activities as defined within the company’s published management system documentation.

About You:

We are looking for someone with solid experience in supporting logistics, planning, and people development, preferably in a manufacturing environment. A High School diploma is required and Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience in business or technical environment is a plus.

You are detail-oriented, proactive, and have a proven history of successfully working on a project from start to finish. You take a hands-on approach to solving problems and delivering solutions.

Your communication and interpersonal skills are excellent, as are your organizational and trouble-shooting skills.
