Your Role

In this key role, the Multi-Skilled Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery and material handling equipment in a manufacturing environment that ranges from simple machines to complex computerized equipment. Operators will be responsible to run overhead cranes, operate steel forming equipment, load an annealing furnace, set-up and run straightening machines, operate cutting saws and set-up polishing equipment.

• Perform product quality inspections

• Participate in continuous improvement activities

• Perform other duties assigned by Management

• Perform frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling with forces generally up to 70 lbs.

About You

The Multi-Skilled Operator should have machinery operating experience (we are willing to train the right individual) who can pass an eye exam and has basic computer skills. You must possess a High School diploma, be capable of working 12 hour shifts on a 3 or 4 day work week, and have strong decision making and leadership abilities. You also should be able to perform basic machine maintenance, work in a team environment, and show a high level of initiative.

• Ability to train others

• Basic measurement skills using measuring equipment (calipers and micrometers)

• Ability to adjust to meet the demands of production

• Ability to operate production equipment

Additional Information

Salary: $19.67/hr. - $22.19/hr.
